Dendera and Abydos day trip

Abydos is the major cult center of Osiris, it is about 3 hours driving from Luxor, the temple is the best colorful temple  in Egypt, was built by king Seti I about 1300BC,dedecated to god Osiris, the god of the dead and the afterlife, this temple contains the famous Abydos king list,

Om Seti, she was a British woman who claimed to be reincarnation of a priestess from ancient Egypt named Bentreshyt was working in this temple ,she was a fascinating figure in the world of Egyptology,

Dendera temple is the best preserved temple in Egypt, dedicated to goddess Hathor, the goddess of love and music, the mother of all the gods and all the kings, we will enjoy seeing the Egyptian zodiac on the ceiling of that temple ,a unique bas-relief depicting the night sky and the planets, Ancient Egyptian believe that the sky goddess Nut swallows the sun disc every evening and giving  birth to the sun every morning,
